Chiron Long-Range Campus Plan
City of Emeryville

Challenge: Implement a long-range campus development plan consisting of office, research and development, laboratory, and manufacturing uses on 15 acres of Chiron property over a 20-year time frame.

Role: Provide environmental, planning, and community relations services for the Emeryville Planning Commission and City Council.

Result: Successful approval of the Chiron Long-Range Campus Development EIR, and follow-up mitigation monitoring.

 

 

John Muir Mt. Diablo Medical Center
City of Brentwood

Challenge: Aid the successful development of a proposed 57-acre mixed-use medical office campus in a high profile area in the City of Brentwood, allowing John Muir Mt. Diablo Health Systems to better serve eastern Contra Costa County.

Role: Assist in environmental review, soliciting community input, and agency coordination.

Result: A 600,000-square-foot medical campus with a heliport, creating employment opportunities and relieving the imbalance between housing and jobs in this fast-growing city.

 

 

Kaiser Permanente Medical Center
City of Emeryville

Challenge: Assist phased development of 30 acres to include a new hospital, medical office buildings, and retail space.

Role: As the lead contractor to the STB, prepare a supplemental environmental impact statement addressing potential environmental issues, including impacts to endangered species, the Tongue River Dam, Native American cultural sites, private property, ranching operations, and state recreation. Manage tribal coordination and public involvement and work closely with state and federal agencies.

Result: CirclePoint's facilitation of the cooperating agency review, public involvement, and programmatic agreement process generated the consensus and information required for the project to move forward through the environmental process.
