Project Associate
This position will work on the public information and community relations program for a large infrastructure project of national significance and will be based on-site in the client's office in Oakland. The project will involve close coordination with many parties during planning, design and construction.
Responsibilities: Research, creation and maintenance of contacts database, prepare project materials, respond to public inquires, draft reports and correspondence. Vendor coordination, assist with meeting planning and logistics. Perform meeting documentation and follow up. Maintain project files and archiving. Update and maintain project website. Lead presentations and construction-site tours.
Requirements: Minimum of three to five years of direct experience managing public education and involvement efforts on environmental or transporation issues, a strong knowledge of California transportation issues, and consulting experience with public and private sector clients. Experience in large construction projects is highly desirable. Must have strong presentation skills, a degree in communications or related field, and be proficient in Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, website content management tools, and experience with InDesign or PageMaker or other graphics programs. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong organizational skills. Must have access to your own transportation.
