Marketing Associate

Circlepoint is seeking a full-time Marketing Associate to join us in our downtown Oakland headquarters office. The position plays a key role in the company’s marketing and business development initiatives and projects. This individual works both independently and collaboratively to create high quality marketing materials, including proposals, qualification packages, collateral, and other submittals.

The Marketing Associate helps manage the proposal process from start to finish by collaborating with the marketing and project teams as well as teaming partners. As part of this process, they help identify win themes, develop and manage production schedules, create/gather proposal sections, guide interview preparation, and develop leave behind materials. The Marketing Associate strives for quality in all work activities and continually seeks ways to improve and implement new marketing tools, tactics, and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proposal development experience in a consulting environment preferred
  • Fluency in Windows and MAC OS
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and InDesign
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively and efficiently in a deadline-driven environment
  • Positive attitude and a collaborative spirit

Marketing Intern

Circlepoint is seeking a Marketing Intern to join us in our downtown Oakland headquarters office for a three-month paid internship. The position helps support the company’s marketing and business development efforts. The Marketing Intern helps track and research new business opportunities; helps maintains our marketing database; and supports the marketing team to create proposals, qualification materials, and other marketing submittals. Additional responsibilities include developing web and social media content and maintaining the company’s social media accounts.

The position requires strong organization skills as well as the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, compile and understand information, and help execute projects under tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and an interest in Marketing

Paid Internship - CEQA/NEPA Analyst Intern

Circlepoint is seeking an intern for a three month paid internship in our Environmental Analysis Practice in our Oakland office. The focus of that group is writing and producing California Quality Environmental Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents. Circlepoint is a great place to gain experience and exposure toward building a career in environmental consulting. We are committed to co-operative education programs. Interns are provided with practical, hands-on experience and exposure to a broad range of practical issues. The position pays $12 per hour.

Responsibilities: Support environmental practice group by conducting research; assisting in writing and revising draft documents; assisting in document printing, production, and distribution; maintaining project files; other related duties.

Requirements: Successful interns have demonstrated strong organizational, research, writing, and verbal communication skills. They are flexible, motivated to learn, and have strong attention to detail. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental analysis, urban planning, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel.

Project Manager - CEQA/NEPA Documentation

With offices in Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, and Southern California, Circlepoint specializes in environmental planning, strategic communications, and creative services.

Circlepoint is looking for an experienced, motivated and resourceful Project Manager for our South Bay office (downtown San Jose).  This position will require an individual to lead, manage and prepare environmental documents for challenging, high-profile transportation, land development, and planning projects throughout California.

In addition, this person will help grow and promote Circlepoint in the South Bay by actively participating in marketing and business development efforts.

Day to day activities and responsibilities include:

  • Leading project teams in preparing and processing environmental documents in compliance with both National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and/or the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements
  • Project planning and delivery; budget and schedule; quality control; and staff management, training and development
  • Research, writing and preparing technical studies in the areas of land use, community impacts, and visual and aesthetics
  • Managing preparation of graphics for reports
  • Managing the scope, schedule, and work quality of subcontractors and vendors
  • Writing proposal, scopes, and preparing budgets for marketing efforts

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of direct experience with CEQA and NEPA. Preference factors include demonstrated experience with preparing Caltrans environmental documentation; business development experience, particularly in South Bay environmental, transportation and/or land use fields
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental studies, urban planning, technical writing, or an associated field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Project
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and work within allocated budgets and schedules
  • Demonstrated quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) abilities
  • Experience with budget management procedures and/or tracking software
  • Team player capabilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Paid Internship - Strategic Communications Intern

We are seeking a part-time project intern for a three month paid internship in our Strategic Communications Practice in our San Jose office. The position pays $13.50 per hour. Expected start and end dates: December 1, 2014 – March 1, 2015.

Responsibilities: Conduct research, create and maintain databases, draft project and marking proposals, help plan and conduct public outreach and on-site tabling events (such as outreach at transit stops, farmers markets, etc.), track public comments and responses and coordinate public meeting set up and logistics. The Intern will also assist with writing and producing reports, educational materials, display ads, and correspondence.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Professional phone and email demeanor
  • Flexible and willing to learn
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and take direction from several different supervisors
