Junior Web Designer

Circlepoint is seeking a part-time Junior Web Designer to join us in our downtown Oakland headquarters office. The Junior Web Designer will assist with the creation and maintenance of Circlepoint’s web-based and digital efforts, both for our clients and our company. This includes websites, interactive tools, and other applications. He or she has basic technical experience working in the latest front-end technologies, knowledge of CMS installations, and a strong understanding of the web development process. He or she seeks to build skills in content management, CSS, QA/QC and UX/UI development.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience (including internships)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experiencein web design or related field
  • Strong attention to detail; Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn
  • Assist with HTML/CSS and CMS installation, editing and contract website maintenance
  • Prepare and optimize web assets for use
  • Assist with QA of all work to web standards; test for usability/cross platform/accessibility/QC
  • Collaborate with project team to deliver high quality, efficient solutions
  • Experience with Wordpress a plus

San Jose

Project Manager - CEQA/NEPA Documentation

With offices in Oakland, San Jose, Sacramento, and Southern California, Circlepoint specializes in environmental planning, strategic communications, and creative services.

Circlepoint is looking for an experienced, motivated and resourceful Project Manager for our South Bay office (downtown San Jose).  This position will require an individual to lead, manage and prepare environmental documents for challenging, high-profile transportation, land development, and planning projects throughout California.

In addition, this person will help grow and promote Circlepoint in the South Bay by actively participating in marketing and business development efforts. 

Day to day activities and responsibilities include:

  • Leading project teams in preparing and processing environmental documents in compliance with both National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and/or the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requirements  
  • Project planning and delivery; budget and schedule; quality control; and staff management, training and development
  • Research, writing and preparing technical studies in the areas of land use, community impacts, and visual and aesthetics
  • Managing preparation of graphics for reports
  • Managing the scope, schedule, and work quality of subcontractors and vendors
  • Writing proposal, scopes, and preparing budgets for marketing efforts.

           

Requirements: 

  • Experience:  Minimum 5 years of direct experience with CEQA and NEPA.  Preference factors include demonstrated experience with preparing Caltrans environmental documentation; business development experience, particularly in South Bay environmental, transportation and/or land use fields.

  •  Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental studies, urban planning, technical writing, or an associated field 

  •  Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Project 

  •  Exceptional attention to detail

  •  Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and work within allocated budgets and schedules

  •  Demonstrated quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) abilities

  •  Experience with budget management procedures and/or tracking software

  •  Team player capabilities

  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills
