Alameda County and its 11 cities have initiated a non-profit community choice energy program, East Bay Community Energy (EBCE), which will supply renewable energy to residents and businesses. EBCE will be a community-governed power supplier, committed to providing electricity generated from a high percentage of renewable sources such as solar, wind and geothermal. In preparation for the launch of EBCE service in 2018, Alameda County hired Circlepoint to develop an outreach and marketing campaign that will help the county’s community learn about the benefits of EBCE, including competitive rates, local investment, support of clean energy projects, and more choice when it comes to electricity providers.
Having successfully promoted San Mateo County’s community energy program, Peninsula Clean Energy, we are currently in the process of applying similar techniques for EBCE by building out a comprehensive, informative, and transparent communications program. We are thrilled to be continuing our work in the community choice energy arena, particularly in Alameda County!
