Circlepoint is pleased to announce it has received a 2017 Gold Hermes Creative Award administered and judged by the Association of Marketing Communication Professionals. Circlepoint’s Communications team earned Gold honors in the Communication/Marketing Campaign category for their work on Peninsula Clean Energy (PCE).

PCE is San Mateo County’s Community Choice Energy (CCE) program—a locally controlled public organization that enables residents and businesses to have a choice regarding where their energy comes from. PCE is San Mateo County’s official electricity provider offering cleaner energy at lower rates for the County’s 300,000 electricity customers. To prepare for the launch of such a large-scale program, the County of San Mateo hired Circlepoint to create a brand identity and a comprehensive marketing and advertising campaign to inform and educate County residents and business owners about Peninsula Clean Energy and what the transition into the program means for them and dispel any doubts or uncertainties they might have.

Circlepoint was tasked with establishing the PCE brand and to build awareness across San Mateo County. Our strategy was to ensure that residents and business owners were aware of the program prior to the launch date and to encourage customers to stay with Peninsula Clean Energy with the goal of limiting the number of people who opted-out of the program.

The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for individuals involved in the concept, writing, and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies. One of the largest award competitions of its kind, entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, graphic design shops, production companies, web and digital creators, and freelancers.
