Managing Principal, Communications
Dominica is a communications professional with 18 years of experience in public/government relations. She has a wealth of experience coordinating effective communications between the public and governmental agencies and a strong ability to translate complicated technical issues into easily understood terms. Her areas of expertise include developing and implementing strategic communications programs and policies; serving as a public information officer; crisis communications; fostering relationships with elected officials, public agency staff, and the community; preparing complex reports and speeches; and project delivery/management. Throughout her career, Dominica has demonstrated results in designing and implementing campaigns in the fields of environmental education and transportation infrastructure development.
Currently, Dominica serves as the Director of Communications for Circlepoint managing a wide-range of projects throughout Orange and Los Angeles Counties. She is the Project Director for the Los Angeles Zoo Master Plan overseeing all public outreach and engagement activities and the Public Information Officer for Orange County Transportation Authority’s I-405 Freeway Improvement Project charged with developing and implementing an effective public communications and community outreach plan that informs and engages the community as the project advances through the environmental process and into construction. For both projects, Dominica’s responsibilities include identifying and engaging target audiences and key stakeholders; collateral development (factsheets, e-newsletters, project website, presentations and displays); planning and implementing open house and public hearing meetings; as well as assisting clients with government and media relations.
