Communications Project Coordinator

Circlepoint is growing and looking for people to grow with us! Circlepoint is seeking a full-time qualified Project Coordinator to join our Communications Services Group (CSG) in either our Oakland or Orange office. We are looking for a Project Coordinator candidate who can implement day-to-day project tasks focused on community engagement, public communications, and campaigns around a diverse array of topics, including transportation, sustainability, infrastructure, and/or land use planning. Tasks could include drafting written materials, research, database maintenance, coordination of logistics for public meetings, social media, and surveys.

  • Travel during workday, at nights, and on weekends to public meetings and events, typically 1-2 times per month
  • Physical demands include ability to lift and carry meeting and event supplies up to 20 pounds, typically to and from vehicle and event location

Salary Range:  $60,000-$75,000

Communications Senior Associate/Project Manager

  • The Project Manager is also required to participate in new business opportunities by seeking new work and partnering with the Marketing Manager to develop proposals.

Salary Range:  $78,000-$128,000

Environmental Assistant Planner

Position Summary:

The Assistant Planner drafts written materials, conducts research, coordinates document production and delivery, and provides excellent customer services to internal services teams, vendors, and clients with minimal day-to-day guidance from the deputy project manager, and/or project manager, and/or principal. The Assistant Planner III must convey complex and detailed technical information accurately, precisely, and concisely through verbal and written formats within established time constraints and budgets. A working knowledge of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) fundamentals is required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, environmental studies, or related field
  • Minimum one year of job experience in environmental planning, urban planning, technical writing, research, or related field
  • Working knowledge of CEQA and NEPA regulations required
  • Customer service orientation
  • Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000

Environmental Principal

Principals have the responsibility over a service, market and geography for business development, sales and project delivery. They are responsible for assisting in firmwide business development planning, setting and achieving sales targets. Principals reflect the company’s team-oriented spirit and work across service, market and geographic sectors with other Principals and Senior PMs to maximize resources, cross-train staff, and support company-wide business and financial goals.

The Principal level makes  substantial contribution to building the service or market area (or multiple service and market areas), reflected in significant increased revenue and client diversity directly related to the Principal’s activities, relationships and expertise. The Principal level also acknowledges a substantial “book” of company work being managed and secured (over $1 million annually). The principal level may also recognize significant management responsibility (P&L responsibility) for an office, service group or corporate function.

Salary Range: $130,000-$180,000

Environmental Sr. Project Manager or Project Manager

Circlepoint is seeking a full-time qualified Project Manager to join our Environmental Services Group (ESG) in one of our offices, Oakland, or Orange. ESG provides California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) clearance for transportation and land use projects.

Circlepoint’s ESG is molded on an integrated approach to public and private transportation and land use planning projects—environmental analysis and community outreach. We work closely with planning and design teams to identify environmental constraints early on, focus environmental documents on the important issues, and effectively involve stakeholders to build the support essential to bringing projects to fruition. We work with our clients, ensuring that we are providing a document that captures the correct components that will pave the way for success during and after the entitlement process.

The job might be right for you if:

  • You are a client-focused leader who efficiently and effectively prepares and processes NEPA and CEQA environmental documents
  • You can assume project management responsibilities including environmental planning and delivery; strategy development; budget development; schedule development; quality assurance/quality control; client service; and staff management and mentorship. The Project Manager will also actively participate in marketing efforts including developing proposal scope and budget and business development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience preparing or managing NEPA and CEQA environmental documents for transportation projects (experience working for a private consulting company is highly preferred). Candidates must be highly conversant in working with federal, state, and local agencies in environmental review and permitting.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience in environmental studies, urban planning, technical writing, or an associated field.
  • Exceptional budget, schedule, and staff management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task and work within allocated budgets and schedules
  • Demonstrated quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) abilities
  • Experience with budget management procedures and/or tracking software
  • A focused, collaborative mindset with team members and management within Circlepoint, as well as clients.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and have a current driver’s license and access to personal transportation.

Salary Range: $96,000-$144,000
