Senior Project Manager/Project Manager - Environmental

Circlepoint is a leader in the environmental analysis field. We are looking for experienced, self-motivated, and highly resourceful Project Managers to help us with our growth and demand.

Project Managers lead and manage challenging, high-profile environmental documents for transportation, land development, and policy planning projects throughout California. We are passionate about what we do and want others who share that same passion to join us!

Full-time positions are currently open in our San Jose, Los Angeles, and/or Oakland offices. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

The job might be right for you if:

  • You are a client-focused leader who efficiently and effectively prepares and processes NEPA and CEQA environmental review documents.
  • You have a passion for assuming project management responsibilities including: project planning and delivery; strategy development; budget development and management; schedules; quality of products; client service; and staff mentorship and management. The Project Manager will also actively participate in marketing efforts and business development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in preparing or managing NEPA and CEQA environmental documents (for a private consulting company is highly preferred). Candidates must be highly conversant in working with federal, state, and local agencies in environmental review and permitting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental studies, urban planning, technical writing, or an associated field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Exceptional budget and staff management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task and work within allocated budgets and schedules
  • Demonstrated quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) abilities
  • Experience with budget management procedures and/or tracking software
  • A focused, collaborative mindset with team members and management within Circlepoint, as well as clients.

We have one position available in each office; San Jose and Orange. What you will do in this position? The Assistant or Associate Planner will play a supportive role to the Project Manager and/or Principal-In-Charge. Project Associate - Communications

This position assists with the execution of exciting marketing and outreach campaigns that engage audiences with unique strategies and unparalleled creative work. Our campaigns raise awareness about important issues and inspire people to adopt sustainable behaviors, such as reducing waste, conserving water, and riding transit. We have projects throughout California, so there is the opportunity to travel for work as well.

This position is perfect for someone with two to three years of experience with communications, marketing, and/or social media campaigns who wants to take their work to the next level and make a difference in communities throughout California.

  • Collaborate with project team to identify client needs and execute action items based on those needs
  • Support project managers on a variety of projects, with lots of opportunities to learn new skills
