We are seeking a full-time Project Manager/Senior Project Manager (depending on experience) to join us in either our downtown Oakland or San Jose office. The position will play a lead role on communications and projects and campaigns for our public agency clients, specifically engaging communities, raising awareness of important issues, and promoting behavior change. We are looking for someone with established connections in the communications field, especially in the transportation and water sectors, who can help us grow our business.

This person will be responsible for all aspects of communications project delivery, including providing professional management and project planning, managing budgets and profitability, coordinating with members of the project team, and working collaboratively with clients on an on-going basis.  The Senior Project Manager is also required to lead new business opportunities, seek new work, and develop proposals.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 10+ years of related experience in communications, especially in the transportation and water sectors
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, journalism or related field
  • Willingness to travel in California for project work.
  • Solid background and understanding in providing strategic communications
  • Accomplished writer of business, environmental, and public information materials

Project Coordinator - Communications

We are looking for a full-time Project Coordinator to work in our Oakland office, who can grow with us professionally and is eager to learn more about communications and marketing for the public sector. We are passionate about the ever-changing landscape of communications and media and continually strive to challenge the status quo. We are looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.

This is an entry level position for our company, and is one with a tremendous opportunity for growth. You will work closely with members of various project teams to plan and staff events, draft copy for fact sheets and other materials, manage social media accounts, and much more. We work on campaigns throughout California to raise awareness about important issues and inspire people to adopt sustainable behaviors, such as reducing waste, conserving water, and riding transit.

This position is perfect for someone with one to two years of experience with public outreach, communications, journalism, and/or social media campaigns who wants to work in a fast-paced, consultant environment to make a difference in communities throughout California.
