We are looking for someone with established connections in the communications field, especially in the transportation and water sectors, who can help us grow our business.

This person will be responsible for all aspects of communications project delivery, including providing professional management and project planning, managing budgets and profitability, coordinating with members of the project team, and working collaboratively with clients on an on-going basis.  The Senior Project Manager is also required to lead new business opportunities, seek new work, and develop proposals.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 10+ years of related experience in communications, especially in the transportation and water sectors

Senior Project Manager/Project Manager - Environmental

Circlepoint is a leader in the environmental analysis field. We are looking for experienced, self-motivated, and highly resourceful Project Managers to help us with our growth and demand. We are passionate about what we do and want others who share that same passion to join us!

Circlepoint is seeking an experienced CEQA/NEPA transportation Project Manager to lead and manage high-profile California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) environmental documents throughout California. A full-time position is currently available in our Oakland office. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.

The job might be right for you if:

  • You are a client-focused leader who efficiently and effectively prepares and processes NEPA and CEQA transportation environmental review documents, specifically for Caltrans projects.
  • You have a passion for assuming project management responsibilities including: project planning and delivery; strategy development; budget development and management; schedules; quality of products; client service; and staff mentorship and management. The Project Manager will also actively participate in marketing efforts and business development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in preparing or managing NEPA and CEQA environmental documents for transportation projects (for a private consulting company is highly preferred). Candidates must be highly conversant in working with federal, state, and local agencies in environmental review and permitting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental studies, urban planning, technical writing, or an associated field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Exceptional budget and staff management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task and work within allocated budgets and schedules

This is a full-time position in our Orange office.

The Director of Business Development co-leads the Southern California Communications practice with the Director of Operations. The Director provides leadership and collaborates with project managers in carrying out the functions and initiatives of the practice while delivering excellent client service.
