  • You are a client-focused leader who efficiently and effectively prepares and processes NEPA and CEQA environmental review documents.
  • You have a passion for assuming project management responsibilities including: project planning and delivery; strategy development; budget development and management; schedules; quality of products; client service; and staff mentorship and management. The Project Manager will also actively participate in marketing efforts and business development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in preparing or managing NEPA and CEQA environmental documents (for a private consulting company is highly preferred). Candidates must be highly conversant in working with federal, state, and local agencies in environmental review and permitting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental studies, urban planning, technical writing, or an associated field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Exceptional budget and staff management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to multi-task and work within allocated budgets and schedules
  • Demonstrated quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) abilities

Senior Associate - Communications

Paid Internship – CEQA/NEPA Analyst - Environmental


Circlepoint is seeking an intern for a three month paid internship in our Environmental Analysis Practice in our Oakland office. The focus of that group is writing and producing California Quality Environmental Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents. Circlepoint is a great place to gain experience and exposure toward building a career in environmental consulting. We are committed to co-operative education programs. Interns are provided with practical, hands-on experience and exposure to a broad range of practical issues.

Responsibilities: Support environmental practice group by conducting research; assisting in writing and revising draft documents; assisting in document printing, production, and distribution; maintaining project files; other related duties.

Requirements: Successful interns have demonstrated strong organizational, research, writing, and verbal communication skills. They are flexible, motivated to learn, and have strong attention to detail. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in environmental analysis, urban planning, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel.
