Project Overview
The Mt. View Sanitary District selected Circlepoint to develop and implement a strategic communications plan to meet the District’s needs through 2014 and 2015.
Unique Features
The initial task completed under this on-call agreement was the fast-track development and distribution of a postcard mailer about proposed rate increases that met the public notification requirements of Proposition 218. MVSD is a smaller special district and its customers are billed via the tax rolls, and not by a monthly bill, so many of its customers are unaware of the important services provided by MVSD.
Key Accomplishments
Circlepoint developed and implemented a strategic communications plan for the agency. The plan identified a variety of strategies and actions for MVSD to pursue a more proactive role in the community and increase awareness about the important services it provides. Circlepoint’s efforts included website development services as well as production and distribution of MVSD’s quarterly newsletter and implementation of social media activities.
Circlepoint has supported MVSDs outreach efforts through development of graphics including artwork for a twice-yearly billboard on the 680 freeway, interpretive panels for the environmental education program provided at Moorhen Marsh, educational materials to encourage a reduction in the amount of fats oils and grease in the system. We have also provided outreach support during the District’s 2017 Proposition 218 effort.
In 2019 MVSD completed the rehabilitation and improvement of Moorhen Marsh and Circlepoint helped plan and conduct a Grand Opening Celebration that included exhibits from a dozen different environmental and community organizations. The event was open to the public and was well attended.
Currently Circlepoint is assisting MVSD with design, copyediting and production of it’s quarterly newsletter, the Mt.View Monitor.
